Your family's data is yours.

We collect only what you log

Moonbelly stores the entries you choose to record — feeds, sleep, diapers, pumping, growth, and medications — plus the account details needed to sign you in, and the minimal technical data needed to operate the service (such as update checks and security logs). We do not collect advertising identifiers, precise location, or browsing behavior for profiling.

Medication entries are health-related information you choose to record; they receive the same protections as all your tracking data and are never used for advertising.

We never sell your data or show ads

Your family's data is not a product. We do not sell it, share it for marketing, or use it to target ads — and we never will.

Encrypted, in transit and at rest

All traffic is encrypted with TLS. Data at rest is encrypted on our hosted database. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt and never stored in readable form.

Export and delete, anytime

Download everything as a file, or delete your account entirely from Settings. Deletion removes your data from our active systems immediately. Encrypted database backups may retain copies for a limited period (our database provider's standard retention window) before they age out, and we do not restore deleted data from backups.

Where your data lives

Data is hosted in the US (AWS us-east-1), encrypted at rest. For our EU users we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (GDPR SCCs); EU data residency is on our roadmap (Q1).
